GUNNER HARDAM Gunner Hardam, beloved father of Shirlee Hardam, passed away suddenly July 14, 2009 at home, at the age of 59 years. He was very proud of his daughter Shirlee and took pride in her soccer games and loved to watch her figure skate. He also leaves to mourn his previous partner Nadia Hardam of many years, brothers Tage and Henning and his sister Kirsten and their family in Denmark, along with many nieces and nephews, his best friend Claus Petersen of Toronto, Ontario and his wife Nadia Petersen. He was predeceased by his father and mother, Hartvig and Gerda Hardam of Denmark. Gunner was born in raised in Egtved, Denmark where he took his apprenticeship in the Masonry Industry. He moved to Edmonton, Alberta in 1976 and continued his career as a Mason and was employed by Conrad Hansen for many years. In 1983 he moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba, and got married. In 1985 he opened up his own company of Hardam Masonry. Gunner was a longtime member of the Winnipeg Construction Association. He started his business in residential masonry and excelled to commercial jobs. His career took him from Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario. Gunner enjoyed hunting, and camping and fishing, and traveling back home to visit family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who had the opportunity to be a part of his life. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association in his memory. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
