Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBRUCE WILLIAM FALLIS September 24, 1946 July 20, 2009 A kind, brave, intelligent man, Bruce Fallis, aged 62, passed away July 20 at Shuswap Lake General Hospital (Salmon Arm, BC). With a lifelong fascination and an extensive knowledge of the natural environment, he worked for many years as a fisheries biologist. Bruce was an excellent poet, an avid outdoorsman, and an award-winning beekeeper. In the last few years of his life, he developed Parkinson's Disease and valiantly struggled with this adversity. Thoughtful, generous, and loving as a husband and father, he will be greatly missed by his wife of 34 years, Wendy (nee Dickson); his children, Glenn (Amber) and Leandra; brothers Alex (Wanda), and Hugh (Marilyn); Uncle Allan (Hazel); and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father, Dr. A. Murray Fallis and mother, Ada Ruth Fallis (nee Bostock). We will remember him fondly for his humility and enduring positive attitude, his patient teachings, gentle strength and gracious nature, and his playful, clever sense of humour. Donations in memory of Bruce can be made to the Parkinson's Society of Canada (www.parkinson.ca).
