Peter was born in Thalberg, Manitoba and spent his entire adult life in Winnipeg. He retired after 37 years with Canadian National Railways where he made many lifelong friends. Peter was a true craftsman. He undertook many woodworking projects and completed them to perfection. He was known as the man who could build and fix anything . His attention to detail was evident in everything he did. Peter will be remembered fondly for his positive attitude, courage and his gentle and gracious nature. Peter's Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 6 at 7:00 p.m. in St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 455 Douglas Avenue with Deacon Gordon Mendres presiding. The family wishes to acknowledge the years of care and compassion shown by Dr. Piotr Czaykowski, oncologist, and his staff at Cancer Care Manitoba. The family also is thankful for the caring and sensitivity of the Palliative Care Team, Nurse Ann, and Dr. Robyn Mc Clure and the staff of 3 East at Riverview Health Centre. Uncle Peter was one of the kindest, gentlest person we've had the opportunity to know.. Our daughter Kristin remembers the times he would come to the Safeway she worked at as a teenage girl, stand in her checkout line and greet her with a warm and friendly smile; our son and youngest daughter, Jarrett & Ariane, remember he always greeted them with the same smile and a treat. Aunt Barbara, Pat and Janice , you are in our thoughts and prayers. Rest in peace, Uncle Peter. - Posted by: Doug & Debbie Kozusko (Family) on: Aug 04, 2009
