VICTORIA JENNINGS (nee ZAPORZAN) August 20, 1916 - July 31, 2009 After a short stay at Riverview Health Centre, it is with great sadness, the family of Victoria Jennings announces her passing away peacefully on July 31, 2009. She returned Home, surrounded by her family, and holding the hand of her one true love, Walter. Victoria is survived by her husband and love of her life, Walter of 64 wonderful years; her children, Gloria (Del), Carol (Gary), Don (Denise), and Lois (Bob); her grandchildren, Cory, Trevor (Gerri), Ryan (Julia), Ashley, and Sean; five great-grandchildren, and four step-great-grandchildren; her sisters Stella and Doreen; her brothers Walter and Gene (Shirley); and many nieces and nephews. Throughout her life, Victoria liked nothing better than to be surrounded by her family and having as many family dinners as possible. Her greatest passion was cooking and baking for family and friends. No one could surpass her homemade buns and cinnamon rolls. Victoria was extremely proud of her children and grandchildren; and taught them values, respect, integrity, and the Golden Rule! Her great-grandchildren were always a source of great delight and entertainment. Victoria devoted many years to the community by being active in the church, Eastern Star, and Ladies Auxiliary of Brownies, Cubs, and Scouts. Her faith in God was unwavering and helped sustain her through her lengthy illness. The family would like to thank the staff at the Health Sciences Centre and 3 East at Riverview Health Centre for their compassion, and the care and support they provided. A special thanks to Dr. Bshouty and to Dr. Bartlett for taking such good care of Victoria.
