WILLIAM (BILL) LANDYGO

Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM (BILL) LANDYGO Peacefully, surrounded by his sons and wife, Bill finally succumbed to his lengthy struggle with pulmonary fibrosis on Thursday, July 30, 2009 at 11:58 p.m. Except for his last few hours, Bill fought his battle from the comfort of home. He died in the Palliative Care ward at St. Boniface Hospital. Remaining to forever cherish Bill's memory are his loving wife Audrey; son Michael William (Paula) and his son Ray; Trinity, his little granddaughter who was the joy of his life; brothers Peter Landygo (Pauline) and John Landygo (Lynn); sister Verna Poole (Jim); sisters-in-law Audrey Landygo and Florence Landygo, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Metro, mother Mary, and brothers Paul and Nick. Bill was born in Foam Lake, Saskatchewan on February 9, 1938. A Celebration of Bill's Life will be held on Friday, August 7, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. in the Silver Heights United Church, 199 Garrioch Avenue, (corner of Mount Royal Rd. and Ness Ave.). For those who wish, parking will be available in the Seventh-Day Adventist Church parking lot located on Ness Avenue. Special thanks to all the kind and caring home care workers who made his last hours more comfortable and the wonderful nurses who came into our home to deliver therapy that helped him in his battle. Special thanks to Dr. J. E. Giesbrecht, Dr. Charma from the St. Boniface respiratory medicine and all the other fine nurse's doctors and home care workers who contributed to his comfort. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill's name may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, R3A 1P6 or a charity of one's choice.
