JOHN FRANCIS WALL Peacefully and unexpectedly at the age of 73 years, John passed away on August 2, 2009. Remaining to forever cherish John's memory are his wife of 53 years, Germaine; sons Dennis, Darrell, Mike (Teresa) and his nine grandchildren. He will also be missed by his sister Marie (Ernie); brother Jim (Hughene) and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Kay. John was the youngest of four children, and was born in St. John's, Newfoundland to Mary and James Wall. He served 25 years with RCAF, and worked at Sears, Standard Aero, retiring from Bristol Aerospace in 1995. John and Germaine travelled from coast to coast across Canada visiting many friends in every province along the way. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. in the Roman Catholic Parish of St. Paul The Apostle, 2400 Portage Avenue, with Rev. Fr. Mark Tarrant, presiding. Entombment will follow in Assumption Roman Catholic Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6-200 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3L 0K6 or a charity of your choice.
