DAVID WILLIAM BROWN March 30, 1927 - August 1, 1009 David William Brown peacefully passed at the Tri-Lake Health Centre in Killarney, MB on August 1, 2009. He was predeceased by his mother and father, siblings Edith, Gertrude, Dora, Evelyn and Tom, son Darrell and great-grandson James. He is survived by his wife Genevieve of 56 years, son Dwaine (Debra), daughter Dawn Oddliefson, grandchildren Maxine (Jonathan), Dale, Dustin, Tamara and Noilah, great-grandsons Dion, Devyn, Cameron, Gregory and siblings Margaret, Dorothy (Alvin), Norma (Roy), John, as well many nieces and nephews. He started a Taxi business in 1973. His business grew and became a family business in 1976 with a small convenience store and gas station. Dave worked many long hours helping the people from the North. Because of health reasons, Dave retired from business in 2002. He loved the outdoors and cared for his Northern friends deeply. He missed the daily interactions with the many people he grew to know. Dave moved to Killarney in 2003 from Pine Dock, MB where he had lived for 32 years. Dave's great love was children. There was always a trick up his sleeve for the young ones. He loved to hunt and trap. He loved his animals, his horse Sundance and his many dogs over the years. Dave was a very caring person and will be missed greatly by his family. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Sobering Funeral Chapel, Park Avenue E., Beausejour, MB with viewing one hour prior to the service.
