ALFRED T. PENNER In loving memory of Alfred T. Penner, age 98 years, who passed away peacefully at his residence in Dryden on Friday, July 17, 2009 with family at his side. Alfred Penner is survived by his children: Gordon (Dorothy) of Vermilion Bay, Jim (Janet) of Alberta, Elizabeth Roy (Andy) of St. Catharines and Nancy Holcroft (David) of Nashville, Tennessee, by eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, his brother Pete Penner and sister Doris Ketler. He was predeceased by his wife Erika six years ago. Born in Lanark, MB, Alfred moved to Northwestern Ontario in the 1940s eventually establishing Colenso Lumber. He had a strong belief in Jesus Christ as his Saviour, in hard work and family. Funeral services for Alfred Penner were held Wednesday, July 22 at 3:00 p.m. in the Upper Falls Baptist Church in Vermilion Bay, Ontario with Dr. Kenneth Hanna officiating. Interment followed in the Upper Falls Baptist Churchyard Cemetery. Visitation was held Tuesday, July 21 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Stevens Funeral Homes Moffat Chapel , Dryden.
