FREDA MADELINE ABRAHAM (nee LETANDER) July 6, 1927 - August 4, 2009 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Freda (Koosh) Madeline Abraham. Freda was in born in Little Saskatchewan, Manitoba. Her mother and father relocated to Sagkeeng First Nation in the early 30's, here they resided for the remainder of their lives. She was predeceased by her husband Albert James Abraham and her three sons John (Deesh), David Wallace and Andrew (Ta-Taa) Abraham, also her grandson Brent Tyler (Brentsie) Abraham and her loving brothers Henry and Wallace Letander, sister Mertle Letander and nieces and nephews. She leaves to mourn her remaining siblings sisters Pricsilla Kent and Breana Letander and brother Lloyd Letander as well as her remaining children; daughter Stella Piercey (Kevin) granddaughter Michelle (great-grandkids Stephan, Ryan, Savanna, Avery and Noah), grandson Vernon (Maya) (great-grandkids Alissa and Nathan); son George (Rocky), grandchildren Matthew and Katherine and great-grandchildren; son Leslie To-Toosh (Delphine) and grandchildren Joanne (great-grandchild Baby Albert), Connie and David; daughter Janet She-sheep (Ron), grandchildren Madeline (great-grandchildren Katie, Emily and Tyler), Sterling (great-grandchildren Sterling Jr and Trinity); son Norman (Delinda), grandchildren Myranda (great-grandchildren Drayden, Lexi, Ethen and Landen) Clarissa, Lance, Carla and Tron; daughter Olive (Kurt), grandchildren Tracey (Charles), Stewart, Brenda (Adam) (great-grandchild Mikaela), Lori, Joshua and Karley; daughter Lisa (Dennis) grandchildren Amanda, Clinton (great-grandchildren Asia and Dayton), Andrew, Nicole and Lindsey; son Lawrence (Shiela) grandchild Lorne. Honourary pallbearer will be granddaughter Tracey. Active pallbearers will be Lloyd (Lizard) Letander, Josh Abraham, Kevin Piercey, Lorne Abraham, Wilfred Henderson, Walter Abraham, John Letander and Conway Henderson. Wake service began on Tuesday, August 4 at the Christ Anglican Church in Sagkeeng First Nation. Funeral service to follow on Saturday, August 8 at 2:00 p.m. also at the Christ Anglican Church in Sagkeeng. Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery, followed by a feast at the Christ Anglican Church Hall.
