She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her son Mark Douglas, daughter-in-law Peggy Anna; granddaughter Kasie Natasha and special nephew Larry Michael, extended family and many friends. Dorothy-Marie was a dedicated wife and mother and friend. A devoted Southern Baptist born-again Christian, who knew the Lord Jesus personally and is with Him now. As a Mother, she was utmost respected and will be dearly missed for her unconditional love, source of inspiration, and devoted presence for her only son Mark Douglas. Dorothy-Marie was predeceased by her husband of 37 years Frank Douglas Smorong December 12, 1995. Frank and Dorothy-Marie were married in Brandon, Manitoba on April 14, 1958. Dorothy-Marie was predeceased by her parents Oliver Roper O.R. York in 1936 and Muriel York (nee Irvine) in 1980. Grandma. I don't think you understand how much I miss you. :'( I miss the way you called me sweetie and wrapped your arms around me, hugging me tight. You were my best friend. I miss the visits and the hand games we used to play. I hope you're watching over me. I like the thought of you watching over me. I will always love you Grandma. - Posted by: Kasie Natasha (Granddaughter) on: Apr 05, 2013
