Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMICHAEL (MIKE) ANTHONY MACIAG It is with great sorrow we announce the sudden passing of Michael (Mike) Anthony Maciag on Monday, August 3, 2009. Michael was born on April 28, 1957 at Grace Hospital in Winnipeg to Anthony and Julia Maciag (nee Steinhauer). He was baptized and confirmed at First English Lutheran Church. He was predeceased by his father Tony in 1988. He leaves to mourn his passing his mother Julie, his sister Joanne (Olson), her husband Dan, niece Amanda, nephew Brandon in British Columbia, godmother Milly Hack and many cousins and friends. Mike worked many years for the Department of National Defense and was also a driver for Vital Transport. But his volunteer work at the St. Andrews Agricultural Society, putting on the Annual Selkirk Rodeo was his real joy. He was an urban cowboy who enjoyed his many road trips with his friends to Dallas, Texas where he learned to make a mean chili. Mike was nice to everyone. He loved children, music, and dogs. He was a movie buff and a Trekki and enjoyed camping and scouting when younger. A memorial service for Michael will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, August 8, 2009 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 400 Rouge Road, Winnipeg. His ashes will be buried at Zion Lutheran Church, Flowing Well, Saskatchewan. We love you Mike. God grant him peace. NEIL BARDAL INC. 204-949-2200 nbardal.mb.ca
