HERBERT KELM On August 6, 2009, after a brief battle with cancer, Herbert beloved husband, father, and Opa passed away peacefully at the age of 83. He is predeceased by his parents, youngest brother, brother-in-law and son-in-law. He is survived by his wife Katharina of 52 years, his son Arnold (Kathleen), and daughter Karen and his grandchildren Anita, Eric, Kevin, Darryl and Katrina. Born in Friedenstal, Romania on August 30, 1925, Herbert immigrated to Canada in 1952. He was a hard worker and always willing to lend a hand. He loved his grandchildren, gardening, and wine-making and was always ready for a good joke. Thanks to Dr. K. Ross, Palliative Nurse Brenda and Glades from Homecare for all your care and support. An interment will take place at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main Street, Monday, August 10, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Please meet at the funeral home at 10:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Palliative Care, N119 - 2109 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3J 0L3.
