Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGE HANDLEY December 16, 1925 - July 31, 2009 In loving memory of a dear soul Husband to Selina, Father to Edward, Wayne and Linda Joy, father-in-law to Peter Fedasz and Diane Handley, grandfather to Christopher, Gabriel and Zachary Fedasz His journey through life now completed, He has left with his memories for his Eternal Home. Sadly missed, always loved and forever remembered. We celebrate a life well lived as he goes to his reward. George Handley was at heart a truly good man who made the best use of the life he lived, and his whole life was truly spent in service to others from an early age - he accounted for himself well, and we are all proud to call him our family patriarch. He made his way with determination and lived well and by the sweat of his brow, and with his natural sense of humour and ready wit was well loved by all that knew him. We will miss him, but we are confident that he will be well received on the other side - and so be rewarded for his many years of a life well and truly lived, by dint of his honest merit. POEM OF LIFE Life is but a stopping place, A pause in what's to be, A resting place along the road, to sweet eternity. We all have different journeys, Different paths along the way, We all were meant to learn some things, but never meant to stay... Our destination is a place, Far greater than we know. For some the journey's quicker, For some the journey's slow. And when the journey finally ends, We'll claim a great reward, And find an everlasting peace, Together with the Lord Author Unknown A memorial service will be held at Oriole York Mills United Church, 2609 Bayview Avenue, Toronto, Ontario, Sunday, August 9, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. If so desired memorial donations in the name of George A. Handley can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. www.thomasfuneralhome.ca

Mr Handley taught me to drive. I'll always remember him as a patient and kind soul. He let me accompany his family to Florida - he had just installed a state-of-the-art eight-track player in his car, and we must have driven him crazy singing along to "South Pacific" and "Camelot". A truly dear man, and I am very sorry to hear of his loss.... he was a true 'gentle'man. He always put others before himself. The fact that I have only had one car accident in 42 years is probably in large part due to George Handley. - Posted by: Sara Nitikman (Friend) on: Dec 12, 2016
