JOHN C. HARRISON Passed Away peacefully at Sunrise Residence, Markham on August 9, 2009. John (Jack) Conroy Harrison of Don Mills Ontario at the age of 91. Beloved husband of Dorotheann (Palmer) for 66 years. Dear father of Michael (Kimberley) of Thornhill, Richard (Nancy) of Ottawa and Ian (Darlene) of North Bay. Cherished Grandpa J.C. of Erin, Amanda, Scott, Spencer, Tara and Benjamin. Predeceased by his brother Robert of Detroit and sister Claire of Montreal. Jack will be missed by his nieces Carol, Valerie and Brenda of Detroit and their families. Jack was a 1st Lieutenant, 22nd Regiment of the Royal Canadian Artillery who served overseas from 1939 - 1945. Past President of the Winnipeg Kiwanis Club. A former employee of the Sherwin-Williams Paint Company Montreal/Winnipeg/Toronto from 1935 - 1976. Friends may call on Thursday, August 13, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles), until time of service at 11:00 a.m. A private cremation and interment will take place at a later date at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
