Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARCETA KURYTNIK It is with our deepest sorrow that we announce the loss of our beloved wife, sister and aunt. Marceta Anne Kurytnik (nee Freund) passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2009 at the age of 70 years. She was born in Friedensfeld, MB, then moved to Dencross (Brokenhead) in May 1941. Marceta boarded with a family in Beausejour to complete high school when her parents moved to Winnipeg in 1956. Marceta went to Teachers' College and taught Grades 1 - 8 in one room school houses in Moosehorn, Clarkleigh and Lundar. Her last teaching position was at North Kildonan. Marceta and Ed were married on July 24, 1965 and lived in Winnipeg until they bought their farm at Anola. Marceta worked for many years at Manitoba Hydro before moving with Ed in the early 1980s to Alberta where she worked in many different jobs including a chocolate factory and day care. Upon returning to Anola, Marceta worked at Harbour View Golf Course with her brother Wilfred and then the seniors' facility in Beausejour. Marceta leaves behind her husband of 44 years Ed, her sister Marion Freund, sister-in-law Dorothy (Wilfred) Freund, and brother-in-law Malcolm (Gwen) Smith. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews: Wendy Summerfield, Susan Lodge, Nancy Molnar (Jason), Tim Smith, and Blair Smith (Christine) and many great nieces and nephews: Nicholas, Jacob, Cheyenne, Mackenzie, Shelby, Isabel, Brooke and Sylvia. Marceta was predeceased by her parents Rudolph and Elsie Freund, her brother Wilfred (Dorothy) and sister Gwen (Malcolm). Friends may view on Friday, August 14 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Sobering Funeral Chapel, Beausejour, MB. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 15 at 3:00 p.m. at the Elim Baptist Church, 645 James Avenue, Beausejour with Pastor Jeff Kilmartin officiating. Interment will follow in the Beausejour Town Cemetery. The family would like to thank all of Marceta's friends and neighbours for all their help and support and we would also like to say a special thank you to Dr. Zeiler and the staff at the Beausejour Hospital.
