EDWARD (ED) ZIMMERMANN September 1922 August 2009 It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of our dear husband, father and grandfather on August 11, 2009. He is survived by his loving wife Evelyn (nee Harwart); sons Brian (Marilyn), Bruce (Cindy); grandchildren Kayleen and Brittany and two sisters Ruth and Edna. He was predeceased by his grandson Christopher in infancy, his father Rudolf and mother Rosalia, two brothers and four sisters. Ed was born in Moosehorn, MB in 1922, and in later years he moved to Winnipeg where he met and married Evelyn in 1953. They enjoyed 56 years of marriage. They enjoyed many years of travelling, spending winters in Arizona and summers in Gimli. Due to illness he retired from the Winnipeg School Division No. 1 after 25 years of service. Funeral service will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at 12:30 p.m. with Pastor Rod Buck officiating. Viewing will be held one half-hour prior to the service, with interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
