IRENE FLORENCE HONER It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing on August 11, 2009 of our loving mother at Seven Oaks Hospital. Our heartfelt thanks are extended to the staff in emergency and U1 5th floor for their kindness and compassion. Many thanks also to Betty from Homecare for Mom's weekly visit. Irene was born July 21, 1920. She married the love of her life September 23, 1939. They had 62 years together before Johnny's passing. They are together again. Irene was predeceased by her husband John, her mom and dad, Jim and Dolly Ratcliffe, sister Edith and brother Jim. Irene will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by her children, Beverley Graham (Mickey), Judy McEwen (Buck), John (Connie), Gerry (Donna) and Kathy Worden (Merv); nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Marg Ratcliffe, brother-in-law Norm Honer (Doreen) and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are grandsons Darren McEwen, Matt Honer, Derek Honer, Tyler Worden, Lukas Worden and great-grandson Garrett McEwen. Honorary pallbearers are her cherished granddaughters Deb Koskie, Jill Honer, Erin Macdonald, Jenna Worden and great-grandchildren Hanna McEwen, Carl and Ben Koskie, and Teddy Macdonald. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul. Irene was a dedicated member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church for most of her life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 708 McCalman Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, R2L 1G7 or to a charity of your choice.
