DOROTHY ROSE WILSON It is with great sadness that the family of Dorothy (Dorie) Wilson announces her peaceful passing on Tuesday, August 11, 2009, at the Riverview Health Centre. Dorie was predeceased by her parents Meta and Julius Klaprat, sister Margie, brother Ernest and husband Eddie and sisters-in-law Ruth and Alida. Dorie is survived by her brother William, her daughter Janet (James), grandchildren Tyler and Katelynn and many nieces and nephews. Dorie was born on May 7, 1929, and grew up on the family homestead in River Hills. Dorie moved to Sault Ste. Marie where she worked for Dominion Foods for many years. She transferred to Winnipeg in 1971 and married Edward Wilson a year later. Although Dorie loved gardening, crocheting and baking, she derived her greatest pleasure from spending time with her close friends and family, especially her brother William. According to Dorie's wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday August 15, 2009, at Sobering Funeral Chapel, Park Ave. East in Beausejour, Manitoba. Honorary Pallbearers will be Eunice Synnott, Willie Lange, Ruth Vincent, Herman Wold, Gerry Lange, Lorraine Hoeppner, Laura McQuarrie and Esther Patterson. In lieu of flowers, if family and friends so desire, donations may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church in River Hills, Manitoba. A special thanks to Dr. Sheila Domke and staff of the Riverview Health Centre for their wonderful care of our beloved Dorie. Rest in peace.
