Anne was born on August 19, 1906 in Elma, MB. She was the second oldest and only daughter of five children born to Andrew and Anastasia Kachur. After leaving the family farm at Stoney Hill, Anne was employed by the Turnbull Family in Winnipeg as a housekeeper and nanny to four children until her marriage to George in 1939. In 1941 Anne and George moved into their new home and for the next 58 years her life was centered on her home and husband. Anne remained in her home until the age of 95 years at which time she took up residence at the personal care home. Anne and George loved to entertain and Saturday evening card parties were a regular occurrence with family and friends. Anne loved to travel and together with George, they visited many parts of North America, Europe and Africa, the Caribbean, and Hawaii. Anne is survived by her brother-in-law Harry Seip (Belma), sister-in-law Lydia Seip, 12 nieces and two nephews as well as numerous great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband George, her brothers Bill (Anne), Mike (Nell), Pete (Helen), and John; brothers-in-law Jack (Kate) and Fred; sisters-in-law Millie (Art Dutton) and Lena (Henry Meyers). The family sincerely thanks the staff at the Bethania Mennonite Personal Care Home for all their loving and gentle care of our sister-in-law, aunt and great aunt during her stay there. In lieu of flowers, donations in Anne's memory may be made to Bethania Mennonite Personal Care Home, 1045 Concordia Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2K 3S7.
