Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFREDRIK AHLSSON February 7, 1925 - August 8, 2009 With great sorrow we announce the death of our beloved Father, Grandfather, and friend. He was born in Linkoping, a city in southern Sweden. As a young man he worked in his father's hardware store. Further he became an employee at Bolinder-Munktell, a part of the Volvo-Group. Being a successful salesman in his field, he was sent out by his company to enforce the export of heavy construction equipment. So in 1961 the family emigrated to Colone, in 1964 to Vienna and finally in 1968 he came to Winnipeg. This was the place he loved most and he decided to stay here after his retirement in 1986. In the year of 1991, he lost his wife Marianne, who was the mother of his two children. In the later years of his life, he found much in common with Irma Bernauer and they shared many years together. They liked to travel very much and they saw many parts of the world. He is survived by his common-law partner Irma, his children Wilhelm and Ingrid, as well as his grandchildren Eva, Fredrik, Anna and Markus. We will keep him in our loving memories. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 14, 2009 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (South of the Royal Canadian Mint). Interment will take place in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 982-7550
