MARTHA MARIE ORUM 1939 - 2009 Peacefully on Monday, August 10, 2009 at home with family by her side, Martha passed away. She was predeceased by her parents Thomas and Doris Mitchel and younger brother Nickie. Martha is survived by her husband Thomas, her son Thomas Jr., her daughters Kimberly (Myles) and Pamela, grandchildren Justine and Jaclyn and great grandson Ty and daughter in-law Johnna Orum. She is also survived by her brother Norm (Diane) Mitchel and sister Frances (Garris) Smith, nieces Paige (Ed) and family and Vanessa (Jason) and family, and her nephews Cole and Vaughn (Collette) and family. She also leaves to mourn friends John and Hellen Hobley, Ed and Diane Gunning, Alvin and Susie Yosyk, Ken and Rosemarie Cook and Elaine Angus as well as many more family and friends. Mom enjoyed her outings to the Casino's, Bingo, shopping and her Thursdays at Speech Club. She especially loved having family and friends come to the house for visits. We would like to thank her Dr. Edward Pilot, Doctor T. Racette and staff from Selkirk General Hospital as well as Allison Baird, speech pathologist, for her friendship and care with Martha. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 18 at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue East, Beausejour with viewing half an hour prior to the service. Rev. Fr. James Gray will be presiding. Interment will follow in the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Martha's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
