ALEKSANDER RUCKI It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Aleksansder Rucki, our beloved husband, Tata, Dziadziu and Pra-Dziadziu, on Wednesday, August 12, 2009, at the Victoria Hospital at the age of 84 years. Remaining to forever cherish Aleks' memory are his beloved wife and soul mate, Irena Danuta; son Julius (Marie); grandsons Mike (Reagan), Brad (Jesy); granddaughter Christina Nichols (Ray) and four great-grandchildren Lucas, Aleksander, Alexandra and Clayton. As well as his sister Helen Petrowski; brother-in-law Zbyszek Dzieciol; nieces and nephews, a large extended family and many friends. He also leaves to mourn his passing his family in Poland, a sister Aniela, brother-in-law Jerzy and many more family members. Born in Poland in 1925 Aleks immigrated to Winnipeg, Canada in 1960 with his wife and young son. He embraced his new home and country, but did miss his homeland. Aleks' funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street at Manitoba Avenue. Entombment will be held in Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Ave. following the reception. The family would like to express their gratitude and thanks to the ER staff and the 5th Floor nurses and staff at Victoria General Hospital for their respect and caring of Aleks in his final days. Tata, you will be greatly missed and forever loved.
