PAUL LIONEL PICHE It is with great sorrow that the family announces the death of loving husband and father, Paul on August 13, 2009 his 78th birthday. He leaves to mourn his wife Lorraine of 53 years of marriage and twin sons Robert Rob (Linda) and their children Gabrielle and Christopher, Reginald Reg (Jennifer) and their two sons Ryan and Michael. He is also survived by sisters Denise Piché and Marcelle Caron; sisters-in-law Hélène and Gisele Piché and Irma (Donald) Thierman, as well as many nieces and nephews. Paul was predeceased by his parents Charlemagne Charles and Marie Louise, five brothers: Roger, Bruno (Beatrice), Gaston Joe , Jules and infant Lionel; three sisters: Gertrude (Joseph) Arnal, Gilberte (Gabriel) Mollot and Rolande Piché, also brother-in-law Denis Caron and his niece Diane Seidel. Paul loved to farm and spent 57 years on the land, retiring in 2008. He spent 15 years on Council representing Ward 1 in the Municipality of Grey and took great pride in it. In later life he traveled with Lorraine, enjoying the sun in Palm Springs and Texas, meeting new friends and enjoying the company of old ones. Paul enjoyed watching his grandchildren playing hockey, ringette and baseball. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday August 18 in the Fannystelle Sacred Heart Church, with Father Lionel Dumont, OMI officiating. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Sacred Heart Parish in Fannystelle, MB, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, or to the Manitoba Lung Association.
