ARTHUR EDWARD ROWNTREE February 13, 1931 August 14, 2009 It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing, after a short illness, of our dear husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, on August 14, 2009. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Marge, children, Kathy (Braden), Florence (Gil), Darlene (Sam), Ted (Jane), Rick (Sharon), Rose Marie (Terry), Edward (Sharon), Alex (Lori), foster daughter Jerilyn, son-in-law Francis, daughter-in-law Anja, 15 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, sister Doreen (Walter), numerous nieces and nephews, family and friends, and the many foster children Mom and Dad opened their home and hearts to over 35 years. Art was predeceased by his son Rusty (Russell), his parents , his sisters and his many in-laws that loved him very much. Art was born in Winnipeg on February 13, 1931. He lived his life in Winnipeg and Garson. He loved to go hunting, fishing, and blueberry picking. A celebration of Art's life will be held at Grey St. United Church (651 Sandhurst Ave.) on Wednesday, August 19, 2009, at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Grey. St. United Church or Cancer Care Manitoba.
