LILY (LILLIAN) ROSA HILGENGA (nee ULRICH) Suddenly, on August 13, 2009 Lillian passed away at her home. She was predeceased by her parents Carl and Mary Ulrich; spouses Ernie Dunn and John Hilgenga; siblings Albert, Emil, Willie, Pauline, Mary, Ann, and Charlie. Lillian will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Carol and son Jim; grandchildren Sherri (Leonard), Shannon (Doug), Randy (Angie); great-grandchildren Chris, Stacey, Samantha, Travis, Brady, Faith, and Ashlyn. She will also be missed by her Sister Erna, as well as many other nieces, nephews, extended family and very close friends. Lillian was born and raised in Gretna, and came to Winnipeg as a young woman. She was a longtime resident of Charleswood and fondly remembered as Diamond Lil . Lillian loved baking for her grandchildren. She enjoyed many trips to visit her grandchildren, and trips to the Shooting Star Casino with her sister. She will be missed by her loyal companion Annie . In lieu of flowers, donations in Lil's name may be made to the charity of your choice or the Story Book Farm Primate Sanctuary, 2315 Concession 10, RR#3 Sunderland, Ontario. L0C 1H0. A funeral service will be held on Thursday August 20th, at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. with a reception to follow. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
