FLORENCE ROBERT (nee LESSARD) March 27, 1937 August 14, 2009 It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Florence, on Friday, August 14, 2009 with her children by her side at the St. Boniface Hospital. Remaining to forever cherish her memory are her children; Roger, Paul (Jan), Claudette and Rachelle (Barry), 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Florence is also survived by sisters, Lea, Florette, Adele, Irene, Yvonne and Diane and by brother Eddie and also by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings, Lionel, Leonie, John, Dolly and Jeanette and by her daughter Giselle in 2007. Florence was born in Pine Falls and lived in the St. Georges area for most of her life. She was an independent and hard working woman who enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and loved dancing and listening to music, and she especially loved visiting with family and friends. We have many wonderful memories of summers spent at the cabin at Hillside Beach. The family would like to express their deepest thanks to the staff at Sunnywood PCH in Pine Falls for the wonderful care Mom received in the last two and one-half years and special thanks to the staff at St. Boniface Hospital MICU and 5B for their care and compassion during her last three weeks with us. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating Florence's life will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in Notre Dame du Laus Roman Catholic Church in Powerview, MB with Rev. Fr. James Gray presiding.
