GEORGE ALEXANDER CHEYNE May 29, 1937 August 13, 2009 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of George Cheyne on August 13, 2009 at the Concordia Hospital at the age of 72 years. He will be lovingly cherished by daughter Cindy (Craig), son Rob (Sylvia), grandchildren, Shaylan and Kristyn (Nic), great-granddaughter Halleigh, sister Mary (Irwin), brothers; Jack (Jackie), Bill (Linda), David (Lorraine) and Ernie (Cheryl) and special friend Vida, as well as many nieces, nephews and other family and friends. George was predeceased by his wife Vivian, father Robert, mother Annie and brothers, Bob and Les. We would like to extend a special thanks to the family and friends who gave their support to Dad and our family over the last few months. Also, a special thanks to the staff at N1 North of the Concordia Hospital for their heartfelt warmth and tender care. Throughout his life, Dad touched many lives with acts of kindness, generosity, his gift of humour and gentle heart. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 20 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler @ Henderson Hwy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Liver Foundation.
