Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHORACE (HARRY) JONES 1918 - 2009 On Friday, August 14, 2009, Harry Jones passed from this life into the presence of his Lord Jesus Christ to be reunited with his wife, Mildred (Millie), who passed away on August 21, 1996. Harry was also predeceased by his brother Paul. He will be fondly remembered by his loving family and is survived by his sister Thelma Lindsay of North Vancouver, his dear friend Joyce Neimer of Penticton, his sister-in-law Diane Zapisocki of Winnipeg, his three nieces and three nephews: Jim and Carol Jones, Fred, Mary, Grace and John Lindsay, and eight grand-nieces, grand-nephews and one great-grand-nephew. Harry was born in Transcona, Manitoba on May 13, 1918 and worked for the Canadian National Railway (CNR) in Transcona, Winnipeg, and Vancouver. In 1977, he and Millie retired to Penticton. In his leisure time, Harry built his own cottages and homes and enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking, telling stories and having good fun. He loved his Lord, studied his Bible and believed in eternal salvation. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, August 22 at 1:00 p.m. at Parkview Chapel, 1258 Main Street, Penticton, British Columbia, with Pastor Don Schneider officiating.
