IDA WILHELMINA COATES (nee CRANS) August 4, 1919 - August 15, 2009 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ida Coates on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at Grace Hospital in Winnipeg. She will be remembered as a beautiful, intelligent and loving person. She is survived by her loving husband William Coates, daughters Pat Coates, Wendy (Harvey) Pukin, grandsons Michael, David and Steven Pukin; niece, Be Floor-Hazelzel and spouse and nephew Marius Crans of the Netherlands; sister-in-law Gladys O'Neil, nephew Terry O'Neil and children Patricia and Michael, of Mesa, Arizona. Ida's special request was that there will be no funeral or official memorial service at this time. She asked to be cremated and her ashes to be stored in an Urn. Upon the passing of her husband, William, her ashes will then be combined with his. An informal gathering of family and friends will be held at that time at Maple Grove Cemetery where Ida and William's ashes will be interred in the Coates Family gravesite to commemorate their life together.
