Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBEVERLEY ANN STRUTHERS It is with sadness that the family of Beverley Struthers announces her passing at the Victoria General Hospital on Tuesday, August 18, 2009, at the age of 67. Bev was the youngest child of the late Roscoe and Katherine Struthers of Sprague, MB. She was predeceased by her brother Ross, and brother-in-law Lorne. Bev is survived by her sisters, Marion, Katherine (Ralph), Joyce (Ken), and brothers Doug (Ev), Malcolm (Peggy), and sister-in-law Nonie, as well as many nephews and nieces. Bev's career path was varied, beginning with years spent teaching and retiring as a personnel officer with the Department of Highways in 2002. Upon retirement she spent numerous hours volunteering until her health deteriorated. Throughout Bev's lifetime, music played a special role. She enjoyed playing the piano and listening to all kinds of music. Over the years Bev sang with a number of different choirs. Family was very important to Bev, and she made a point of keeping up to date on all the news about her nephews and nieces and their families. As long as her health allowed, Bev traveled extensively. Her journeys took her all across Canada and to various places in the world. Over the course of her life, Bev developed many long-lasting friendships throughout her travels, jobs, places of residence, and personal experiences. Her friends were truly cherished. The family would especially like to thank her friends who were there for her in her time of need. As well, the family would like to express their appreciation for the kindness and care the medical staff on the 4th floor of the Victoria General Hospital gave to Bev during her time there. A celebration of Bev's life will be held at Churchill Park United Church, 525 Beresford Ave., Winnipeg, at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 21, 2009. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation, P.O. Box 1943, Winnipeg, MB R3C 3R2 or a charity of your choice.
