IVAN FRANK TALAGA Sadly, the family of Ivan Frank Talaga announce his passing on August 18, 2009 at his residence in Selkirk, Manitoba. He was 73. He is survived by his niece Tanya Talaga, nephew Yuri Talaga, Iris Stefishen and Stephen Tutkaluk, sisters-in-law Susan Talaga and Joan Swaykoski and brother-in-law Alex (Elsie) Basarab and a large, extended family. Predeceased by his beloved wife Natalie (Basarab) Talaga, brothers Edward and David Talaga, niece Karen Talaga and his parents Frank and Evelyn Talaga. Uncle Ivan was a gentle soul, whose kind sense of humour touched all who knew him. A long-time resident of Birds Hill, Uncle Ivan was a drywaller by trade. He took pride in his home and family. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler at Henderson Hwy., Winnipeg on Saturday, August 22 at 11:00 a.m. with a lunch to follow. Family interment will take place at Glen Eden Cemetery. Donations in his memory can be made to the Betel Home in Selkirk.
