WILLIAM (RICK) RICHARD OWEN It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Rick on Monday, August 17, 2009 in Winnipeg, at the age of 50 years. Remaining to forever cherish Rick's memory are his wife, Ramona; children Jordan, Caitlin, Steven and Amanda; parents Clark and Izena Owen; brothers Mitch (Marilyn) and Clark; sister Jacqueline (Bert), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Rick was born in Calgary, Alberta on July 16, 1959 and lived most of his life in Winnipeg. For the past 14 years, Rick worked at Insect Control for The City of Winnipeg. Rick enjoyed fishing, the beach, watching football and genuinely enjoying life and the company he was in. A funeral service for Rick will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the Sturgeon Creek United Church, 207 Thompson Drive. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Wpg, MB, R3T 0R3 in Rick's name.
