FLORIAN JOHN KOMADOWSKI It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Florian John Komadowski, aged 69 years, beloved husband, father and grandfather on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at his home. Florian's memory will live on and be deeply cherished by his wife Dianna, sons Danny and Terry (Sherry), his daughter Tami (Jim) Forbister and his grandchildren Randy, David and Megan. He also leaves to mourn his brother William (Eleanor), sisters Jean Chorney and Victoria Bialek, mother-in-law Irene Grenick (Ed Hastman) along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Paul and Wanda and brothers-in-law Teddy Chorney and Edward Bialek. Born on July 23, 1940, Florian grew up and lived on the family farm where he joyfully raised his family and farmed with his brother Billy. In addition to farming, he worked as a transport driver for Atomic Energy in Pinawa for 27 years until retirement in 1998. He continued to farm until 2000. His passion and love for farming continued into his huge garden, always planting more than enough for his family and friends. He had a remarkable talent in that he could easily fix anything from a wristwatch to a tractor. He enjoyed working with Dianna hosting many bus trips to the gambling casinos in the States, making many friends and new acquaintances. Florian will be remembered as someone always willing to lend a helping hand or give advice when needed. The family wishes to express our deepest appreciation to the emergency services personnel for their valiant efforts and compassion. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 22 at 1:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue East, Beausejour, MB. Viewing will be held on Friday, August 21 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and prior to the service at the chapel. The service will terminate at the chapel with cremation to follow.
