Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAMES RUSSELL SCHWARTZ James Russell Schwartz, age 44, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2009 at Peace Arch Hospital ICU in White Rock with his sister Judy and cousin Linda at his side. Prayers were administered by Rev. J. Blanchard of St. Mark's Anglican Church. Born in Winnipeg on March 16, 1965, James was predeceased by his parents Henry and Martha Schwartz, and is survived by his siblings Judy Listiak of White Rock, Doug and Rod Schwartz of Winnipeg, and their families. James was very talented, one who caught on quickly and applied himself easily in many fields of endeavour. He was an accomplished carpenter, land developer, Toastmaster and held a Masters Degree in Business. James grew up in Elmwood, lived in St. Vital and moved to White Rock in 1999 and worked along side his sister Judy at White Rock Tax Accounting Inc. He also volunteered his services to the local Coast Guard who at times put their lives in danger to save others. In his final days, James said that he enjoyed building things more than anything. There is no doubt that he built himself a life of accomplishment and will be remembered for the way in which he was always able to bring a smile to those around him. A memorial service was held at James' home church, Trinity Christian Reformed Church, Abbotsford, BC. Interment will take place August 22 at Brookside Cemetery officiated by Pastor Richard Kruesel of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, James' first home church where he was confirmed. James' niece Crystal will perform a trumpet solo Amazing Grace in his memory for all of us.
