Phoebe was known and loved for her sweet and kind nature. Her home was always open to her children's friends, students from the country and other visitors to the city. Phoebe was a generous supporter of Jewish charities. She was loved by her many friends and family members, and her special relationship with her two beloved sisters-in-law Nettie and Lil, who predeceased her, was beautiful and cherished by the whole family. Phoebe was predeceased by her first husband, Julius Kaplan, and moved with her two young sons David and Bruce, to Winnipeg when she married our dear Pop Ralph Mozersky in 1956. Phoebe and her family were warmly welcomed both by their new family and the community. Winnipeg was her home physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Ralph sadly passed away in 1991. She is survived by her two sons and their families: Dr. David and Pat Mozersky of San Antonio, Texas, and her two beloved grandsons Joel and Jason, and Bruce and Fern Mozersky and their beloved children Shawn and Erin Chernoff of Toronto. She will be missed by her many nieces and nephews, her sister-in-law Evelyn Scotty Moglove, and by her beloved cousins Connie and Charlie Lefkowitz of Boca Raton. Funeral services will be held at the graveside at Shaarey Zedek cemetery, Monday, August 24 at 12:30 p.m. Friends and family can pay their respects following services at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Howard Greenberg, 83 Colchester Bay, Tuxedo. In her final years, Phoebe was attended by Angela Ricketts, Winsome Murdoch, and Igine Mills, the three women who loved her and cherished her, and made the end of her life comfortable and meaningful.
