Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOE ANTOSKI (PETRO ANTONISHKA) March 6, 1923 - August 17, 2009 After living with diabetes for the last six years, Joe (Petro) passed away on August 17, 2009 due to renal failure. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Mary, brothers, Alec, Bill and John and sisters Lena, Doris, Verna, Anne, Mary and Sophie as well as infant sisters Kathryn and Sadie. He is survived by his brother Andy (Nick) and wife Pat and sister Helen. Joe enjoyed many types of employment, mainly in general construction until his retirement in 1984. After residing in Piney for 18 years he moved to Vita in 2002 and resided in the Vita Hospital and Nursing Home for the past six years. Joe often remarked how much he loved the Vita Nursing Home and all the doctors, nurses, caregivers and kitchen staff and especially all of his favourite ladies. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to all of them. Unky was a caring and loving uncle to all of his nieces and nephews and was a friend to everyone who knew him - and a fine man and gentleman to the end. We will miss him very much. After a family gathering at the Vita Nursing Home, Joe (Petro) will be laid to rest next to his mother Mary at the St. Demetrius Ukrainian Greek Orthodox Church Cemetery in Gardenton, MB, his place of birth. In lieu of flowers, donations gratefully accepted for the Vita District Health Centre, 217-1st. Avenue West, Vita, MB R0A 2K0.
