HILDEGARD BRODERSEN 1934 - 2009 It is with great sadness that the family of Hildegard Brodersen announces her passing on August 19 at Grace Hospice. She will always be remembered with love by Henry, her husband of 51 years, daughter Carol (Jamie Smith), son Derek (Ruth), and many other family members and friends in Canada and Germany. Hilde was totally devoted to her family, and enjoyed gardening, knitting, travelling and visiting with relatives and her many good friends. She and her fabulous hand-knitted items will be greatly missed at the annual Christkindlmarkt, which she participated in for many years. The family would like to extend special thanks to nurse Louise, the Home Care team, and in particular the talented, compassionate, and caring staff at the Grace Hospice who gave Hilde such wonderful care in her final months. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 25 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 637 Buckingham Road. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace Hospice, 260 Booth Drive or to a charity of choice.
