MARY ELIZABETH LAUZON (nee ARMSTRONG) It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, Sister, and Friend on August 25, 2009. Mary was predeceased by her husband Charlie as well as many brothers and sisters. Leaving to mourn brothers, Melvin (Annie), Sylvester (Shirley), sister-in-law Eileen in Atikokan, son Brent (Kim), daughter Jackie (Gary), grandsons Adam, Trevor, granddaughters Fran and Jill, great-granddaughters Hailey and Jana, and numerous nieces and nephews. After a brief illness she passed away at the Health Sciences Centre with her family at her side. Mary was the daughter of James Armstrong and Margaret McGee born May 5, 1921 in Straton, Ontario. Mary was a very hard working woman and her favourite job was being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved to laugh and always had a joke to tell and brought a smile to everyone's heart. She will be greatly missed by family and all who knew and loved her. The family would like to thank Raylene for the friendship and housekeeping home care girls, Stella and Janice, all the doctors, nurses, and aides at the Gimli Hospital and Health Science Centre GA5 unit who helped with her care. Prayers will be said Thursday, August 27, at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel; 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 28, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, 341 Munroe Ave., with interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery.
