Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryREGINALD JONES July 7, 1923 - August 23, 2009 Reg passed away peacefully with his daughter Lesley at his side at the Grace Hospital on Sunday, August 23, 2009. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. In passing he leaves to mourn his wife of 64 years Doreen; children David (Joey), Glennis (Sandy) and Lesley (Ray). He also leaves his brother Bob and sister Olwen in England, nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren in Canada. Reg was born in Liverpool, England and moved to Canada in 1957. Once here he pursued a career in the aircraft industry retiring in 1987. Reg and Doreen moved to Nanaimo, BC for 11 years until his health forced him to return to Winnipeg where he was closer to family. Reg was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite in Winnipeg and Nanaimo. Reg also volunteered as a driver in the CancerCar program for many years. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 29 at Neil Bardal Inc., 3030 Notre Dame Avenue, across from Brookside Cemetery. Interment will follow the service.
