GORDON EDWIN LEONARD WEIGHELL Peacefully, at Trillium Hospital, Mississauga, Ontario on August 26, 2009 at the age of 84. Predeceased by his niece Karen, (Canmore, Alberta), Parents John Thomas and Ivy Irene (Hudson), Brothers Alan and Douglas, and Sister Margaret Laverty. Survived by his brothers Donald and his wife Gail, Keith and his wife Wendy. Beloved Uncle to Thomas, Dale, Gord, David, Donna, Patrick, Robert, Chris, Debby, Glen, Gary, Barry, Roy, and David. Great Uncle to 23. He was a veteran of the Second World War and retired at 65 from the University of Toronto. He enjoyed painting and drawing wild life, fishing and wood carving. Gord will be greatly missed. Friends may call at the Turner Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W., Etobicoke on Sunday, August 30 from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. A Celebration of Gord's Life will be held in the chapel on Monday, August 31 at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Cancer Research or your favourite charity would be appreciated.
