Joe is survived by his wife and soul mate of 61 years, Nettie, son-in-law Doug Dowsett, grandchildren Brandy (Kevin) Driedger, Kelly (Crystal) Dowsett, and great-grandchildren Sage, Madison, Cole, and Liam. Joe was the most unselfish individual. He was soft spoken, generous, kind, and most of all loving. Every spring Joe looked forward to heading out to the cottage at Falcon Lake. It was his sanctuary! Joe loved the outdoors, nature, wildlife, and the tranquility of cottage life. Some of Joe's other passions included forever keeping his car in immaculate condition and keeping perfect time. He took great pride in everything he did. Joe was extremely proud of Brandy, Kevin, Kelly, and Crystal and all of their accomplishments. He adored his great-grandchildren; they were the light of his life. Joe also enjoyed playing with Coda (Kelly and Crystal's dog) out at the lake. He will be deeply missed by family and friends. Many thanks to the compassionate nursing staff at Concordia Hospital and to Dr. Peter Kuegle for his professionalism and care. Special thanks to Father Thomas Schmied for his spiritual support and hospital visits, as well as Rita Syposh for her constant support.
