BARRY DONALD NORMAN It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Barry Norman, loving husband of Janice on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at the age of 59 years. Remaining to forever cherish Barry's memory is his wife Janice. His brothers Keith, Grant (Barb), Glen, Clark (Linda), Lloyd (Christie); his brothers-in-law Ron (Lori) Dubinsky, and John Dubinsky and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Leslie and Leah Norman and father-in-law and mother-in-law Julius and Hedy Dubinsky, also sisters-in-law Diane and Sue Norman. Born in Dufresne in 1950, Barry graduated from Red River College in Instrumentation Technology. He started his career at Atomic Energy of Canada in Pinawa where he worked for 10 years, before returning to Winnipeg. He worked for Cantech and Tyco for 19 years before starting his own business in 2001. He was well respected in the business community. Barry married the love of his life, Janice, in 1976. He will be sadly missed by his boys Blaire and Marlowe. Barry enjoyed golfing, curling and was a longtime season ticket holder of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Janice and Barry loved attending the games. Barry enjoyed his yearly winter vacations with Janice to the Caribbean, especially their place in Aruba. He loved family outings and good times with friends! Barry's Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 31, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. in the Westwood Community Church, 401 Westwood Drive. The family gratefully thanks the staff of St. Boniface Hospital, 5th floor B wing, and CancerCare St. Boniface for their care and compassion. Flowers gratefully declined, should friends so desire, donations can be made in Barry's memory to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9 or the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB, R3T 0R3.
