CAROLINE DOROTHY SKRYPETZ 1940 - 2009 Suddenly due to a car accident on August 25, 2009 near Portage La Prairie, Manitoba, our Mom, Grandma, Sister and friend left us. Caroline was born on April 17, 1940 in Gimli, Manitoba to Walter and Mary Kozlowski. She was educated in Selkirk and took extra schooling in Winnipeg. She worked at Eatons and Prudential Insurance. She married Tony Skrypetz in May of 1962. Her and Tony moved to Mafeking, Manitoba where they operated The Dawson Bay Hotel. Tony passed away suddenly in 1978. They had two daughters, Heidi and Tanya. She lived most of her life in the Mafeking and Swan River area. At the time of her passing she was employed with Statistics Canada. She was predeceased by her husband Tony, her parents Walter and Mary Kozlowski, her sister Rose Skiba and special friend, Ernie Leming. Left to mourn her passing are Heidi (Ron), Tristin, Justin, and Trace; Tanya (Herman), Ricky and Darbi; sister Betty Kelner (Jerry), nephews, nieces, and other family members and special dear friends. Funeral services were held in Mafeking, Manitoba at the Mafeking Legion Hall with burial in the Mafeking Cemetery, the place she called Home .
