MARY ESTHER SMITH (MAISIE) Maisie passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 27, 2009 at the age of 86. Maisie was predeceased by her husband Bob Smith in 1967; her parents Mary and Clarence Reid; her brothers Harry, Bill, and Jack Reid; sisters Margaret Rafferty and Lorraine Macauley. Remaining to cherish her memory are her sons Doug (Lynne); Don (Joan); Lloyd; grandchildren Bob, Mike (Tobey), Donnie (Tara), Amber (Tim), Kelly (Dave); great-grandchildren Alexis, Courtney, Zoe, Tyler, and Colson; brother Bob (Ginny); sisters Nora and Irene, and many nieces and nephews. Maisie looked forward to spending time with those she loved here in Winnipeg and travelled each spring to Vancouver to visit with family there. Maisie was quite talented and very much enjoyed sewing, needlework and crafts. She warm-heartedly knitted several pairs of mittens each year at Christmas in which she donated to a local charity. Maisie's parting words were I had a wonderful 86 years. I loved all of you and felt the love from all of you . In keeping with Maisie's wishes, no funeral service will be held.
