JOSEPH WILFRED ALBERT SAUCIER Born August 1943 in Rouyn, Quebec With great sadness we announce the passing of Joseph Saucier on August 25, 2009 at the Red River Personal Care Home in Selkirk, MB at 65 years of age. Joseph will be forever remembered by his wife of 42 years, Elaine, sons André and Jason, both of Alberta and granddaughters Cheyenne and Calista. He is also survived by his sisters Marie-Anne Hamonic and Antoinette Dumont, brothers Denis (Lorraine) and René (Collette), brothers-in-law Harold Monkman (Isabel), Glen Monkman and Wayne Monkman, sisters-in-law Joan Belanger (René), Mona Hatch (Eaon), Pat Broadhead (Ron), Bonnie Crowther (Roy) and Solange Saucier. He was predeceased by his father Roland, mother Lorette, brother Raymond and sister-in-law Debbie. Joseph and Elaine were married in Hay River in 1967 and moved shortly after to BC where he worked for three years. They relocated to Pine Point, NWT where he worked for six years before moving to Fort McMurray, retiring from Syncrude Canada Ltd., in 1996. They have resided in Manitoba since 2003. Joseph was a kind and generous man who will be sadly missed by his wife, family and friends. A memorial service will be held at the Community Hall on Matheson Island on Thursday, September 3 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations to the Alzheimer's Association would be greatly appreciated.
