KASMER (JOE) LESNIAK 1921 - 2009 It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Kasmer Lesniak on August 19th, 2009 at the age of 88 years at Seven Oaks Hospital. Kasmer is survived by niece Judy Murray and her husband Brian of Toronto, niece Joyce Kolba of Brandon and sons Jason Kolba of Vancouver, Michael Kolba and wife Janice of William's Lake British Columbia. He was the last of his family, predeceased by his parents Adam and Mary, brothers Joe, John and Andrew, and sisters Martha, Stella and Mary. He was a veteran of the Second World War serving overseas in Europe where he achieved the rank of Lance Corporal. He worked for 32 years for the Winnipeg Free Press as a Pressman and later as a Pressroom Supervisor before retiring in 1978. According to his wishes no formal funeral services were held. Cremation Brookside Cemetery. Kasmer will be forever in our hearts and our memories, especially remembered by the Wierbicki family.
