DORIS AUGUSTA MARIE PEELER (nee RAMGREN) July 11, 1927 - August 20, 2009 On Thursday, August 20, 2009, Doris died at the age of 82 years. Remaining to forever cherish Doris' memory are her four children Norene (Kim - Lisa - Dionne), Rod (Adam - Bridget - Matthew), Brenda (Natalie - Michael) and Debbie (Orlando) and 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Barry (Danielle - Nicola). Mom was born in Clan William and was raised in Erickson, MB, with her brothers Earl and Craig, all of whom predeceased her. Doris married J.H.R. (Jim) Peeler in Minnedosa, MB, at the age of 17. They resided in Neepawa, MB, on their vast farm. She moved to Winnipeg in 1959, where she was blessed with her last child, Deborah. Our mother was an original woman, born years before her time. She was the original Make-over artist . Mom was inspired to create beauty in everything, everywhere. Therefore, it was only natural for her to start a career in cosmetology, becoming an award winning hair stylist. After many years in this field, her love of fashion led her into retail. At the age of 82, she would be the first to tell you what's HOT and what's NOT. She still cut, coloured and styled her own hair. In addition to these assets, she volunteered for many years at Vasalund, and Folklorama's Swedish Pavilion. Mom knew just what was needed to restore people emotionally, and demonstrated this by aiding many, unselfishly, in their trials. She was intuitive, and saw with her heart what was invisible to the eye. In honour of mom's wishes, a private family memorial will take place. P.S. We all love and will forever hold you in our hearts. P.S.S. To the most incredible lady I will ever have known. At peace, but taken much too soon, Grandma Pee always gave without taking. Stubborn, and unrelenting in her care for others, she was always the most incredible stabilizing force. I will never forget your selflessness, your unwavering patience, and ultimately your love for those around you. I was blessed to have grown up with your guidance. You were always there, and now, I will forever miss you. Thank you, Love Orlando. Sunshine Passes, Shadows Fall, Love's Remembrance, Outlasts all.
