JANET LOUISE FLAMAND September 22, 1958 - August 26, 2009 Peacefully, after a courageous two year battle with cancer, Janet Louise Flamand passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 with family by her side. Remaining to forever cherish Janet's memory are her mother, Dagney Flamand; siblings, Wayne (Leni), Brian (Margaret), Ivan, Glen (Kim), Dolores (Alan), and sister-in-law MaryAnne; nieces and nephews, Jennifer (Rick), Ian (Kayla), Robyn, Daniel, Jessica, Mike (Amanda), Matthew, Derek, Anthony (Kalee), Madison, Monique, Sydney and Will; great-nieces and nephews, Ava, Liam, Aidan, Liridon, Carter, Karma, and Madelyn; her lifelong friend Fran Gladu, and her beloved pets Zoey and Myrna. She was predeceased by her father, Antonin (Tony) Flamand and her auntie Esther Hillbom. Janet was born in Winnipeg on September 22, 1958. After graduating from St. James Collegiate, Janet became a caregiver for her parents and many young nieces and nephews and also as a respite worker. She was everyone's favourite aunt and took great pride and joy in spending time with them, a trait she mirrored from the love shown by her very own special Auntie Esther. She loved movies, music and video games, and even more; being able to share these interests with everyone she loved. Family was everything to Janet and she was everything to them. On Tuesday, September 1, 2009 Janet's funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street at Manitoba Avenue. We love you Janet, and you will always hold a special place in our hearts.
