Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN (IWAN) KULYK We announce the passing of John Kulyk on August 28, 2009 at the age of 86 years, at the Seven Oaks Hospital. John was born in Oblast Ivano-Frankivsk in Selo Kolynci in the Ukraine. In 1947 John moved to Ontario where he worked for several years. He came to Winnipeg in 1953 where he became employed with the C.P.R. as a crane operator. In 1955 John met Olga Nosal and they were married June 9, 1956. John and Olga celebrated 53 years of marriage. John retired from C.P.R. in 1984. He was predeceased by his parents Maxim and Maria, brothers Wasyl and Paul, sister Sophia and sister-in-law Maria. John is survived by his loving wife Olga. He is also survived by brother Mychailo (Sophia) and sisters Anne and Olena. As well as many nieces and nephews of the Ukraine; also left to cherish his memory are his in-laws Alice (Bill) Perchaliuk, Nettie (Fred) Mihalick, John (Florence) Nosal, Marianne (Don) Wright, Sharon McKinnon and Glenna Nosal; numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and good neighbours. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday September 2, 2009 at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 737 Bannerman Ave. at Arlington Street at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Fr. I. Dziadyk officiating. Interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made to Taras Shevchenko Foundation or the Seven Oaks Hospital Foundation.
