ARTHUR GREENSLADE Arthur Greenslade passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg. He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his children Anne Pudlo (Alex), Mary Greenslade (Mike Vidal), Pat Hanbury (John), Barbara Messamore, Frances Greenslade (David Joyce), and Neil Greenslade. He will also be missed by grandchildren Jessica Mutimer (Nick), Everett, Neil and Keith Messamore, Andrew, Jennifer and Julia Hanbury, Sarah Greenslade (Adam Amposta), Elyse and Clare Greenslade, and Khal Joyce; great-grandchildren Tyson and Thomas Greenslade (Amposta); cousin Ron Greenslade and wife Jeanette of Anacortes, Washington and sister-in-law Sylvia Smith of St. Catharines, Ontario, as well as many relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his dearly loved wife Veronica Kathleen Greenslade on October 9, 1987, and recently by his son-in-law Steve Messamore, on August 19, 2009, as well by parents Florence and Lionel, and brothers-in-law Jack and Neil Smith. Our Dad was born on July 26, 1922 in Hamilton, Ontario. He was a businessman, entrepreneur, hobby farmer, lover of music and books, and an excellent husband and father. Anyone who knew him will remember his great sense of humour. Funeral service will be held on September 26 in St. Catharines and he will be placed with his beloved Kathleen at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Details will be published in the St. Catharines Standard. The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers of Assiniboine Links and the Grace Hospital, as well as the wonderful home care nurses and aides, for their kindness and care for Art.
